2024 RFME ESBK PreMoto3 Championship

After an impressive rookie season in the ESBK (Campeonato de España de Superbike) Moto4 championship in 2023, Kensei Matsudaira is racing again in the ESBK championship, moving up into the PreMoto3 category in 2024.
Kensei impressed from his debut with a 5th place finish at the opening round in Jerez, finishing just 3.5 seconds behind the race winner in race 2.

Kensei made the step up to the RFME ESBK (Campeonato de España de Superbike) Moto4 category in 2023, one of the premier championship classes in the world for racers aged 12 to 15. Despite it being his rookie year, Kensei impressed from his very first race and has consistently fought at the front for podiums and race wins in every round. In the end, Kensei finished 11th in the championship out of over 34 riders hailing from 10 different countries.

2023 Yamaha bLU cRU R3 Cup Thailand Wildcard

In July 2023, Kensei made his road racing debut in Asia with a wildcard entry into the brand new Yamaha bLU cRU R3 Cup Championship, Round 3 held at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand. Despite it being his first time racing a production motorcycle, Kensei fought at the very front of both races. He was taken out of the lead on the last corner in the first race, and backed that up with a 4th place finish just 0.2 seconds behind the race winner in race 2 against some of the top Yamaha R3 riders also wildcarding from Japan.

2023 FIM Speedway Youth World Cup SGP4

Kensei represented the USA in the inaugral FIM Speedway Youth World Cup, held at Målilla, Sweden where he raced against the world's top speedway riders aged 11-13. In the 5-race speedway world cup format, Kensei scored points in every race with 3 second place finishes and 2 third place finishes and was ranked 8th in the world out of 18 riders representing 12 different countries.

2022 RFME Copa de España Moto5 Vice Champion

In 2022, Kensei Matsudaira moved up to the highly competitive Moto5 category in Spain. In his first year racing in the 8-race RFME (Real Federación Motociclista Española) Copa de España de MiniVelocidad Spanish National Championship, he scored 4 podiums in a row including a race win, and completed the Moto5 championship in 2nd place.

2022 Cuna de Campeones Moto5 Championship

In his first year moving up to racing the Spanish-made 250cc Moto5 bikes, Kensei finished 5th in the Cuna de Campeones Moto5 championship despite missing one of the 7 rounds due to a schedule conflict with MotoAmerica.

2022 MotoAmerica Mini Cup Ohvale GP-2 190 Champion

In 2022 Kensei won the MotoAmerica Mini Cup by Motul championship in the Ohvale GP-2 190 category (ages 10-14), becoming the first rider to win all 3 categories (110, 160, and 190) in the MotoAmerica Mini Cup series. He finished on the podium in every one of the 8 races, with victories in 4 of them.

2022 AMA Speedway 150 Youth National Champion

2021 Perris Speedway 150 Track Champion

Kensei has been a top level national 150cc junior speedway contender since moving up to the class at the age of 7 after numerous wins, championships, and even an undefeated season racing in the 50cc Pee Wee classes. Previously having taken 3rd in the 2019 AMA National Speedway Youth 150cc Long Track Championship as well as 3rd in the 2021 AMA National Speedway Youth 150cc Short Track Championship, in 2022 he finally won the AMA National Speedway Youth 150cc championship in Auburn, CA.

2021 MotoAmerica Mini Cup 110 & 160 Champion

In 2021 at the age of 10, Kensei became a double national champion in MotoAmerica, North America's premier motorcycle racing series in the Mini Cup by Motul championship in both the 110cc (ages 6-10) and 160cc (ages 8-14) categories. He did so in convincing fashion, winning 12 out of 16 races, taking podiums in 14 out of 16 races, and starting from pole position in 10 of those races.

2021 FIM MiniGP World Series
North America Champion

Kensei is the first champion in the FIM MiniGP North America Series, the newest part of Dorna's Road to MotoGP international talent promotion program. In November 2021 he raced in Valencia, Spain at the FIM MiniGP World Final with the MotoGP World Championship as the top North American representative, competing against top racers aged 10-14 from around the world.

2021 Cuna de Campeones MiniGP Championship

In 2021, Kensei also raced a full season in Spain with the Cuna de Campeones MiniGP 110 championship against some of the fastest riders in the world, with a best qualifying session position of 3rd, a best final qualifying result of 6th, and a best race finish of 8th.

2020 AMA Supermoto 65cc National Champion

Having raced dirt track for almost as long as he's raced on asphalt, Kensei took naturally to supermoto and won his first AMA national title in 2020 in the Supermoto 65cc class.
Kensei has also won multiple titles with local supermoto racing organizations such as DRT Racing and WAR Supermoto.
Since 2021 Kensei has been racing in the Supermini class and in 2022 is leading the AMA Supermoto Supermini championship.

Flat Track

SCFTA Champion 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020

Racing dirt track since the age of 5 and winning the local SCFTA 50cc two stroke championship in his first year on an underpowered JR50, Kensei has continued to rack up wins and championships in flat track. He now races a KTM 85, and has won almost all of the races he attended in 2021 and 2022.

MotoCross / Grand Prix

2021 Moto 4 Kids 65cc Limited & Open Race Winner

Kensei is new to motocross but he's learned quickly and has already won local races.
He has also made several top 10 finishes racing off road desert enduro in the 2021 NGPC National Grand Prix Championship.
